This is truly one of my favorite places in SC. There is a ton of space to explore. Some of our favorite things to do at Natural Gathering Grounds are fishing in the multiple freshwater ponds, hanging out on the beach on the Edisto River, building fires by Tristan Pond, and relaxing on the upper deck of the main house under the porch fans. The sunsets are amazing and never fail to captivate our love for nature. Wish we could live on a slice of land like this one!
Gathering Grounds is a beautiful piece of land. This is a perfect place to explore, camp or just plain relax on the Edisto River. There are over a dozen ponds perfect for bird and critter watching not to mention all the goats that are always endless entertainment. My family and I have stayed here multiple times and it's a truly special place. From fishing in the ponds, or building campfires, or seeing all the amazing animals that live there, or just hanging out on their amazing dock on the river all day... we get excited every time we're lucky enough to spend time at the Gathering Grounds!
